Vlycha beach

Vlycha is a small and quiet holiday resort on the east coast of Rhodes, just three kilometres from the picturesque town of Lindos.

There are only a few hotels in Vlycha. They are mostly large and luxurious. Several of them are named after the neighbouring town of Lindos. For a perfect holiday for two, we recommend the 5-star Lindos Blu. A hotel with a romantic atmosphere that spoils guests with beautiful views, great restaurants and a lovely spa.

The beach in general
The almost 1 kilometre long beach in Vlycha is located inside a beautiful bay. The surroundings are stunning, with green areas and high mountains.

The beach is partly covered with sand and partly with gravel/pebbles. The water is usually very calm and deepens slowly. Beach facilities include sun loungers, parasols, showers and restaurants. The beach is not as crowded as the beaches in Lindos and is therefore a good alternative to them. The southern end is the quietest part of the beach.

Child-friendliness
There is plenty of space on the beach and the water deepens slowly. So especially at the southern end, where there is more sand, Vlycha is quite child-friendly.

Water sports
There is a good selection of water sports activities at Vlycha beach, including water skiing, banana boat and pedal boats. It is also possible to rent small boats.

Beach restaurants
There are two beachfront restaurants/cafés serving simple dishes such as sandwiches as well as iced coffee and other refreshments. The views from the restaurants are stunning.

Vlycha in Rhodes

The holiday resort of Vlycha
Vlycha has a small number of hotels and private holiday apartments, some of which are rented out. The small village also has a supermarket and a few small shops with gift items etc. A larger selection of shops can be found in the cosy village of Lardos, located 5 km to the west. In addition to many restaurants, cafés and shops, there is also a bakery, a butcher and a pharmacy in Lardos.

The biggest attraction in the area is undoubtedly the historic town of Lindos. The beautiful whitewashed houses, narrow alleys and cosy little squares are well worth a visit. So is the Acropolis fortress, located high above Lindos. The views from here are breathtaking.

Vlycha map
The long beach in Vlycha can be seen in the centre of the map. In the area behind the beach there are some large hotels, but there are many untouched areas. If you zoom out the map once, Lindos appears to the south-east.
