Ladiko beach
Ladiko is a charming natural beach on the east coast of Rhodes. From Ladiko, it’s 15 km to Rhodes Town and only 3 km to the island’s most popular holiday resort, Faliraki.
Ladiko beach in general
The scenic beach is located inside a beautiful bay surrounded by mountains and lush vegetation.
The relatively small beach has fine, light-coloured sand with some rocks here and there. The water is clean, clear and shallow, inviting for a swim surrounded by the beautiful mountains. Facilities at the beach include sun loungers, parasols, showers and beach restaurants/cafés.
Ladiko beach, like the neighbouring Anthony Quinn beach, is very popular and can get quite crowded in July and August. It’s rewarding to arrive early, get a good spot and enjoy the peace early in the day.
Child-friendliness
Ladiko is well hidden in a bay, so there are hardly ever any waves. This makes the beach with its shallow water and fine sand very child-friendly. However, the space to play can be a little limited in high season.
Water sports activities
There are no water sports activities on Ladiko beach, but the bay with its rocks and calm waters offers good snorkelling conditions. Those looking for more adventurous activities on the water should visit Faliraki beach.
Beach restaurants
There is a café and a restaurant just behind the beach. The Ladiko Restaurant Beach Bar is the larger and more popular of the two. It serves fish and other Mediterranean cuisine.
Nearby holiday resorts
The closest holiday resort is Faliraki a few kilometres to the north. A lively holiday resort with many shops, cafés and restaurants. The hotels are located along the long sandy beach and at the northern end is the quietest area. Many of the family-friendly hotels are located here, and from several of them Faliraki Water Park is within walking distance.
Our hotel recommendation in Faliraki is Amada Colossos, a modern hotel right on the beach. For families with children, there is a water park with many water slides and a buffet restaurant.
